Erlanger man robs Subway store; held at Boone County jail

Police have arrested an Erlanger 20-year-old accused of robbing a local Subway Restaurant.

It happened on Sunday, November 5, at approximately 3:55 p.m., at the Subway Restaurant located at 1790 Airport Exchange Boulevard near Erlanger (unincorporated Boone County).

Police say Harry Lindle was purchasing a cookie at the store when he pulled out a handgun and took money from the restaurant's cash drawer.

Lindle then fled the scene on foot but was followed by a witness who provided police with his location.

Officials say Deputy Wes Mackey was able to identify a wooded area from which Lindle later emerged and surrendered. Police say the gun Lindle displayed turned out to be an airsoft pellet gun.

Lindle is being held in the Boone County Detention Center.
