Thomas More College to dedicate river field station

The Biology Field Station (also known as the "River Station") at Thomas More College is a one-of-a-kind center for applied biological research whose reach is as wide and powerful as the Ohio River and all its tributaries.

Located just 30 minutes from the main Thomas More campus, the Station is perched on a hillside near the Ohio River, in Campbell County.

Working closely with federal, state, and local authorities to monitor and improve water quality in the Ohio River, the staff and students at the Station are dedicated to improving water conditions, education and preserving the rich heritage this and other waterways have to offer.

The college is having a special event on Sunday, July 23. It will include a groundbreaking cermony at 3:30 p.m. A picnic and concert featuring the Tellico Family Band and the Rabbit Hash String Band will be from 5 pm until 8 pm.

It's at 8330 Mary Ingles Highway in California, Kentucky.
