Police say they were called Aug. 17 in reference to a report of an employee who had brought a gun to the school.
Though knowingly bringing a firearm onto school property is felony offense, the Kenton County commonwealth attorney says there's no probable cause to believe it was done knowingly on Aug. 17.
The employee in question has been a teacher for 21 years and has no criminal history. Commonwealth officials say there is no known disciplinary history with her employer, and that she is legally licensed to carry concealed deadly weapons.
