Menard's may be ready for Florence KY
Delayed for several years, Menard's may begin construction of its Florence store next year.
Menard's has paused on new construction for years. Back in 2014, Anchor Properties said its Florence Heights retail development would include the chain.
Now, the Florence economic officer is telling people that construction could begin in 2018, but still no official announcement.
Menards Inc. is a chain of home improvement centers primarily in the Midwestern United States.
The privately held company, headquartered in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, has approximately 300 stores in 14 states: Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, Nebraska, Kansas, South Dakota, North Dakota, Wyoming, and Kentucky. It is the third largest home improvement chain in the United States, behind The Home Depot and Lowe's.
Florence Heights is a 65-acre development site located on Mall Road adjacent to the Florence Mall with excellent visibility from I-75/I-71.
